Explore, Express & Experience HRST

- Where the Self Meets Itself -

"May noble thoughts come to us from every side..." (Rig Veda 1.89.1)

The purpose of this site is to provide education about Hindu religious and spiritual thought (HRST).  The doctrines of this ancient wisdom offer a means to transform individuals, families, communities and nations into a harmonious world family.

In Hindu spiritual view, the lawlessness and social problems result from the ignorance of the individuals of their own true identity and a social structure which ignores the spiritual dimension and overly emphasizes the physical aspect of the individual being.  The doctrines of HRST encourage individuals to be self-conscious and self-motivated.

HRST is based upon the perennial philosophy expounded by Hindu sages and seers of ancient, medieval, and modern times.  This perennial philosophy neither divides humanity into believers and non-believers, nor does it recognize superiority of one class, creed or color over another, or that of one religion or race over another.  Perennial wisdom affirms universal brotherhood, mutual respect and justice for all peoples, and harmlessness towards all creatures and environment.  Vedas say that God sleeps in minerals, breathes in plants, walks in animals and thinks in men.  All human beings, regardless of color or creed, race or religion, men or women, young or old comprise one universal family, where the Divine is the Father, Earth the Mother, birds and animals the pets, and the universe the home.
